Who has seen the wind?

We are making the most of the wind these days.  We decided to make windchimes from recycled materials and to paint a class collage also using recycled materials.  We learned that the wind can be useful, to turn turbines, dry our clothes and for the kite surfers on the beach.  However, it can also be dangerous and destructive as we discovered in the story “The Wind Blew”.

We learned the poems “Who Has Seen the Wind?” by Christina Rossetti and “Wind Tricks”.  Our new favourite song is “Let’s Go Fly a Kite”, we sing it with gusto!
