In December our elves were busy getting ready for Christmas.  Some elves were working in Santa’s workshop, while others were busy decorating the tree.

 

Everyone loves playing in the snow, but don’t forget to wrap up warm.  We learned about different materials and clothes that keep us warm during the winter.  We also listened to the story “Froggy Gets Dressed”.

 

 

We had a visit from Jurate and Kathrin, who explained how they celebrate Christmas.  Did you know that in Lithuania Santa sneaks in during Christmas Eve dinner and delivers the presents?  In Germany December 6th is Nikolaustag, or St. Nicholas’ Day.  The children wake early to check the shoe they leave out the previous night, it contains either presents (a reward for being good ) or a stick (a warning to improve).
