We are currently selling tickets for this lovely hamper. The draw will take place on Friday afternoon, 15th May 2015. We will also be selling cakes, books and plants at the Saturday Market, Priests Road Carpark on Saturday 16th May.
Our plants have started to grow. We planted potatoes and onions outside and we have sweet pea growing inside. We also conducted an experiment to find out what plants need to grow. On Pancake Tuesday we made batter using eggs, flour and milk. Thank you Rom for showing us how to make the batter and for cooking our pancakes. We were also busy preparing for the Chinese New Year. We learned to count in Chinese and marched with our dragon crowns.
Corinne came into school on 6th January with a traditional french cake “La Galette des Rois”. A ’fève’ (originally a bean but now a trinket) is baked inside the cake and the cake is shared around the table. In October we were busy learning about Autumn. We enjoyed reading The Gruffalo and The Owl Babies. We created our own Gruffalo using different materials and we sponge painted our Owl Babies.
